FAQ's
Botox® Cosmetics
What is a BOTOX Cosmetic or BOTOX injection?
BOTOX Cosmetic is a purified protein produced by the Clostridium botulinum bacterium. It is a non-surgical treatment that can temporarily reduce moderate to severe frown lines between the brows and wrinkles on the forehead and smoothes wrinkles around the eyes. During treatment, very low doses of BOTOX Cosmetic are administered via a few tiny injections directly into the muscles that cause those stubborn lines.
How does BOTOX Cosmetics work?
BOTOX works by blocking the transmission of nerve impulses to the injected muscles; this reduces the activity of the muscles that cause those persistent lines to form.
When will I see results from a BOTOX Cosmetic treatment?
You will see a marked improvement within 5 to 14 days. Lines continue to improve for up to a month, and results can last for up to 4 months. In clinical trials, nearly 90% of men and women rated the improvement in their appearance as moderate to very good 1 month after treatment.
How long does BOTOX Cosmetic last?
Results from treatment with BOTOX Cosmetic can last for up to 4 months. If you discontinue treatment, the wrinkles gradually will look like they did before treatment.
Who should administer BOTOX Cosmetic?
At Morphosis one of our medical professionals will administer your BOTOX Cosmetic treatment.
Is treatment with BOTOX Cosmetic painful?
Discomfort is usually minimal and brief. Prior to injecting, we may choose to numb the area with a cold pack or anesthetic cream.
How long does a BOTOX treatment take?
The entire procedure takes approximately 30 minutes. There is no downtime and most clients are able to resume their normal activities immediately following a treatment. Prior to your initial treatment, you'll also need to allow time for your complimentary consultation with one of Morphosis medical professionals.
Will I experience any side effects?
The most common side effects following injection include temporary headaches, a rare eyelid droop and nausea. Localized pain, infection, inflammation, tenderness, swelling, redness, and/or bleeding/bruising may be associated with the injection. Patients with certain neuromuscular disorders such as ALS, myasthenia gravis, or Lambert-Eaton syndrome may be at increased risk of serious side effects.
Will my facial expressions continue to look natural?
Although the results are visible, a treatment with BOTOX Cosmetic will not radically change your facial appearance or make you look as if you "had work done." The muscle activity from frown lines are simply reduced.
What will happen to the wrinkles if I choose not to continue BOTOX Cosmetic treatments?
If you do not continue treatments, wrinkles will gradually look like they did before treatment.
Is BOTOX Cosmetic affordable?
When considering your facial aesthetic options, BOTOX Cosmetic is quite affordable. According to an American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery survey, BOTOX Cosmetic is one of the low-entry-cost facial aesthetic procedures in the United States.
Who should avoid a BOTOX® treatment?
BOTOX Cosmetic should not be used in the presence of infection at the proposed injection site(s) and in individuals with known hypersensitivity to any ingredient in the formulation. Patients with neuromuscular disorders such as ALS, myasthenia gravis or Lambert-Eaton syndrome may be at increased risk of serious side effects. BOTOX is not used in or near skin sites where there are or have been active skin disease, inflammation or cancer related conditions. Nor should BOTOX be injected into an area where a permanent implant has been placed. Nor should it be used in pregnant or breast-feeding women.

Restylane® and Perlane® Cosmetic Fillers
What are Restylane and Perlane Cosmetic Fillers?
These cosmetic dermal fillers replace lost volume and restore youthful contours to the skin to smooth away moderate to severe facial lines, creases and folds.
What are the benefits of Restylane and Perlane?
The fillers instantly soften telltale-aging lines or improve your looks by enhancing your natural features, such as cheeks or lips. A treatment restores volume, improves skin elasticity, and smoothes lines and imperfections. Such as the crease from your nose to the corners of your mouth. Long lasting but not permanent, Restylane and Perlane allow you to stay in control of your looks.
How do I choose between Restylane and Perlane?
You don’t have to. In clinical trials, Restylane and Perlane were used in the same patients. The same biotechnical process makes the hyaluronic acid in both products. The difference is in the gel particle size. Perlane® gel particles are larger and designed for deeper injection than Restylane®. During your Morphosis complimentary consultation one of our medical professionals will decide which product is right for you.
How does your medical professional know when to use Restylane and Perlane?
The decision as to which product is right for you is based on an evaluation of facial wrinkles and folds.
What does Restylane and Perlane treatment involve?
The product is injected into the skin in small amounts using a very fine needle. The gel provides hydration and structure and gives natural volume to smooth away the appearance of lines, enhance facial shape, or create fuller lips.
How much time does a Restylane or Perlane treatment take?
Your treatment is very quick and often takes approximately 30 minutes. Prior to your initial treatment, you'll also need to allow time for your complimentary consultation with one of our medical professionals.
What areas can be treated?
Treatments can be used to smooth out facial lines, create fuller lips and shape facial contours and fill in creases, such as cheeks and chin. It is a subtle approach to enhancing looks naturally. The most common areas treated are: 1) from the nose to the angle of the mouth (the nasolabial folds), 2) lips (enhancement), 3) cheeks and chin (shaping), 4) back of the hands, and 5) between the eyebrows (the glabellar lines).
How long do Restylane and/or Perlane last?
One of the great advantages of Restylane and Perlane is that the effects are long lasting but not permanent. For the treatment of facial lines and facial shaping a follow-up treatment is usually needed after 6-9 months.
For lip enhancement follow up treatment is normally needed in about 6 months.
Does Restylane and/or Perlane treatment hurt?
As some patients may experience a mild discomfort, prior to your treatment we will apply a local topical anesthetic cream or a dental block and eliminate any discomfort.
Can Restylane and Perlane be used if I have I had a chemical peel or laser treatment?
If you have recently had some kind of cosmetic treatment, it is recommended you wait until the area is totally healed and the skin is back to its normal condition. This usually takes 4 weeks.
Is there any downtime with Restylane and Perlane?
No, but you can expect slight redness, swelling, pain, tenderness, itching and/or bruising following your treatment. This is the same as you might expect with any type of injection. However, the discomfort is temporary and generally disappears after a few days. With lip enhancement, it is wise to choose your treatment time with care since your lips may become swollen for a few days.
Who should avoid a Restylane or Perlane treatment?
The products are not used in or near skin sites where there are or have been active skin disease, inflammation or cancer related conditions. Nor should the cosmetic filler be injected into an area where a permanent implant has been placed. Nor should the cosmetic filler be used in pregnant or breast-feeding women.

The heat from the Titan causes the collagen to immediately contract and thicken, dramatically improving sagging skin. Titan is a treatment specifically used to tighten your skin.

The new collagen growth improves and softens the appearance of scars; smile lines, sagging, and stretch marks, all from the inside out. Acne scars are dramatically improved. All without surgery, injections, or recovery time! As your collagen is enhanced your skin begins to look softer and smoother in skin tone and texture, taking years off of your appearance.
